Lowering Kit

Hello, guys I'm a newbie here.

I'd like to ask one thing.
I'm planing to install the Eibach Pro-Kit Spring Set for my ml 350(W164). Is that really worth for the car? Anybody tried this kit? Please give me some suggestions.

Thank you

I did the springs on my own. Rears were SUPER easy. Fronts we a real pain. Needed to really work it out by tearing apart 3/4 of the front suspension and steering to get enough movement of the parts so I could get the stock springs out.

Pain but, truck looks so much nicer.

Thanks for info! I have one more question for you. Does the springs match well to the stock shocks?

Great post....I've been wondering the same questions. My ML500 looks like a Georgia 4x4 it is so high up. I may do the Eibach springs too since the Renntech lowering module only works on Airmatic.

Does anyone have any before/after pics of the springs installed?

Wow....the springs looked great, but the alignment issue looks like a nightmare. I wonder if he ever got it fixed??

Not yet.. Im still waiting for H&R manufacturer to answer my question. H&R dealer is a 100% certain that this was due to the bad alignment job by MB and that their lowering springs are tested for correct alignment => should never result in uneven tyrewear. Now we are just waiting for the manufacturer to reply back. I'll keep you posted.

Is the H&R kit better/worse than the Eibach kit?

I have the Eibach on and no alignment problems. I have 22" rims installed and the handling is crisper. Ride comfort is fine except for the harsher bumps.
Recently took the family (5) to San Diego had full luggage in the back plus roof cargo box and the ride was better than I thought it would be.
The ride was almost normal and no saggy rear end
Check the second page of Official W164 M-Class Picture Thread for my pics.

Hey guys, can I get an update on how your tires held up after lowering?
Please state if you used Eibach or H&R's

I'm deciding which set of springs to use next week.

Cheers and Thanks in advance.
