if you have airmatic... airmatic compressor seems to fail at least once before 10k miles.

Isn't a bit too late to tell you it is a **** car? You have bought it already?!

Luckily ML is a great car! I used for a year and it is still good. I have never drive ML500 but I guess ML320 cdi is a better car
I saw a lot of old ML but not many new ML in Hong Kong.

Tuning?? Well, I am not familiar with tuning parts.
Maybe you can ask the sole importer of Brabus in HK at brabus@canful.com.hk for some Brabus tuning parts.

Not so!! Mine has never had an issue. Just because a couple of guys here have had failures does not mean its a common thing.

Fortunately your ML doesn't equipped with AIRMATIC. Also no more SBC like your previous W211. Smart choice and enjoy your ride.

Airmatic is certainly not notorious and is a plus, better ride, handling and the ability to adjust the ride and vehicle height. It is not a troublesome option only a very few have had issues. I would not have one without it.

Even a 30% failure is considered an issue. It does't have to fail in every single one of you to be a serious one.

Where did you get the "failure rate"?? Yes 30% is a high rate however you have given no data to support this and I sincerely doubt if the rate is anything like that. I have well over the stated 10000 miles on my 06 and have not had an issue. A manufacturer's acceptable failure rate ranges from 3 to 5 percent. MB never publishes any of their rates and your number is a pure guess. Besides you cannot tell from just the segment on this forum what the rate is as we do not know the percentages of owners that are on the forum and what their actual failure rate is. So do not begin to spread inaccurate stats when you do not have any supporting info. My guess is that the rate is somewhere near the acceptable range, perhaps a bit above.

I would think that a failure rate for a component part of 3-5% would put the supplier out of business.
