J.D. Power & Associates Survey..WTF?

So I received this survey in the mail yesterday. I usually never pay any attention to these things and usually I just throw them away. This time I look at the outside of the envelope that reads "A token of our appreciation is enclosed", so I open it. The survey was for the ML I just got. I open the letter they enclose and out pops an dollar bill. I looked at it and laughed. Now I feel like I have to fill it out.

Do you guys actually fill these thing out or do you take the dollar bill (or any or token of their appreciation) and chuck the survey out?

if you wait, they will send another one in the mail with another $1 inside requesting you to fill it out.

i looked at the survey, and it would take a good 20-30 mins to fill it out. not worth the 2 bucks.

Yeah I was hoping for at least a 10.

Yeah I got a survey too and fell for the $1 bribe. What really pissed me off was that after I took the time to fill it out, I find out that I have to pay for my own postage to mail it back! Not worth $0.59 for sure, but since I had already wasted my time filling it out, I sent it back.

Plus, they sent the survey out way too soon. I only had 700 miles on my ML and couldn't really comment on half the stuff they were asking me about!

My ML has about 1,100 miles on it so there wasn't really any issues. Mostly things I listed were stuff other people complained about because I assume I will be having those same issues when they come up in the future. (well i hope I dont)

HAHA they sent you a CHECK!!! HAHAHA I bet you did get some funny stares!

I figured I had to go to the bank anyways, it was payment for opening the envelope the way I see it!

You just contributed to the twisted ways of the BS'd JD Powers surveys by doing that.

I sorta feel bad. They sent me the dollar. I filled it out but didn't send it. Should I just send the dollar back?

When I had to fill in all the little dots, which by the way drove me crazy, I'm not in school any more. I felt like I was taking the SATs. Any way back to the dots, I didn't put anything less than an 8 out of the possible 10. So I think that's pretty good marks. Most of which was 10 out of 10. I love my new car. Its so damn fun! No complaints.

I was kidding about the issues part. I really had nothing bad to say. I just got it and barely drive it. What issues can one person have in a month and a half with 1,100 miles on it.
