Air Filter Ml 350

How do I replace the air filter in a 2006 ML-350? I saw a clip on the rear of the engine cover but I am afraid to pop it. Is it this simple?

I see MJ has posted the specs for you but just curious why you're replacing?

When does MB require the filter change? I don't see it in the book. Thanks

MJ, If you could be so kind, could you also post the procedure for the ML 320 CDI? or advise a link for it? It carries 2 filters on each engine side and it looks really tight. Hope you have it available....Thanks. I'm sure it would also help several other members.
