Bi-Xenon Lights
Sorry for my ignorance but I have just picked up my car, is there a way to turn off the Xenon lights or it is normal that they are always on even during the day??

rtfm,

in your instrument cluster go to the settings, and i believe its under "vehicle" then under headlamps, change it from constant to manual.

You can change the daytime running lights feature with the steering wheel. Consult your owners manual, its in there.

It's not written the Canadian version of the owner's manual, that's why I asked the question.

It looks like it can't be turned off here in Canada because of the running day lights.

It's Canadian mandate. Every car should have its day light running all of the time. No way to turn them off legally.

Turning off the Xe and not the halogen lights, that's what I am trying to find out.

Those Xenon lights will not last very long if they are on everytime I drive the car...

If you turned them off, what lights would you have?

The halogens are high beams and would blind oncoming drivers.

SURELY you care about that?

I have been using them on my cars for the last 3 years and they last just as long. You can't turn them off so just live with it since you're in Canada.

True, Xenons last much longer than halogens. My dealer told me that the xenon lamps are covered under warranty, so, if true, don't worry about lamp life.
