2009 ML320 Bluetech
Anyone have any information on when the 09 ML320 will be available? The mbusa website still shows the 2008 ML320 CDI. Dealers seem to have plenty of 09 ML350s, but no 09 diesels in stock.
Also, was disappointed to read that the towing capacity of the 09 ML320 has been reduced to 5000 lbs from 7200. Any ideas what drove this? the ML350 and GL320 are still at >7K lbs.

Should be "real soon now". My dealer is taking reservations for test drives now.
Where did you see only 5000 lbs tow weight?
This brochure says 7200 lbs Class III for the 2009 ML 320 BlueTEC:
http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/data/p.../2009-SUVs.pdf
Looks like the mileage might be better than expected!

ML320 tow rating
Read about the ML320 tow rating being limited to 5000 lbs in Automobile magazine.

I was debating the same decision. I was leaning toward the Benz because of the higher towing capacity and my belief that more deals will be available on the Benz. BMW doesn't seem to have to offer the large incentives on the X5.
Test drives will say a lot though!
