Ml320 CDI Canada Price?

The price I am getting and options:
-0-way power adjustable front seats with power steering column and 3 position memory function
-COMAND APS with hard drive-based navigation, LINGUATRONIC voice control, DVD changer, 4GB Music Register and SD memory slot
-PARKTRONIC
-Heated rear seats
-EASY-PACK power tailgate
-Exterior power folding mirrors
-harman/kardon® LOGIC7® surround sound system
-Trailer hitch

All I can remember hahahaha wasn't there for a while might be like one or two added or what is listed.

Brand New $71 000 I am getting $10 000 and thats without my offer yet so $61 000. Its an 2008 model brand new only like 75 km's. My questions are:
-How are diesel veichles never owned one?
-What are the ups and down of the M class?
-Any suggests of what option are good to get or not like handy?
-Is there any good way to negotiate the price like on the options cause like trailer hitch I will never use $700 waste.

2009 ML320 CDi Bluetec
I just bought a new 320 CDi 2009 Bluetec. And I LOVE IT. I got $7k off, and happy with that.

So far so good - almost 4,000km which means just four refills :-)

I think thats a pretty good deal considering it's a diesel. If was a gasoline engine, you could probably squeeze a few more thousand out of the dealer, but you want to be fair right? Since the car is produced, you can't actually negotiate on individual options that are already on the car and telling them "Well, I really don't need a trailer hitch, so take off $700" will probably fall on deaf ears since now you look like you're cherry picking.

Intead of haggling over price, ask him to throw in stuff like a trunk cargo mat, and rubber floor mats. They may also be willing to throw in an iPod kit which is handy. Those things are expensive when getting them from the dealership and in Edmonton, you'll need the mats.

Are you sure yours is an 08? The reason why I ask is that I thought the 08's still had the old COMAND and DVD based nav and it was the 09s that had the new system.

Yeah it is a 2008 model. It is just that I copied the 2009 information. I just found out yesturday that the 2009 model is a re design. Meaning a bit of exterior and interior changes. Also one of the big things its no longer a CDI engine but a BLU TEC meaning its cleaner. On the trailer hitch option I dont want it becuase I will never use it. Always if I want to sell it in the future people will think I used it. The more you use the railer hitch on heavy loads effects the transmission. And I don't want people thinking that.

They salesperson at my dealer said since your my old customer I thought I would say this. " Since the car is a 2008 model and in the future say next year you want to do a trade in like your C300 you will loose probably another $8 000. I am still debating if I want the ML 320 or not. I been researching on the GLK 350 4MATIC since June 2008. That is a 2010 model so pretty new hahaha. The ML 320 I know for a fact has more room and more luxirous with the rear heated seats etc.

With the GLK I would be getting every option except the trailer hitch and media connections. I guess it all comes down to today on how much I end up getting on the my 2008 C300 4MATIC. It's in the dealer right now for Service A so...

A far as throw in an options when I got my C this time last year. I didn't know much becuase it was my first "high end" veichle. All I got them to throw in was a chrome ////AMG license plate frame and all wheather mats. What are some good features to throw in? Also if i get either car what should my offers be? Also like on the GLK since im taking over a dealer order and changing the garbage they have what offer should I do on that?

Well, the first thing you have to think about is how long are you going to keep the vehicle, and how much mileage are you going to put on it before you get rid of it. Say you put 20,000km per year on it and you sell it after one year. Is it easier to sell an 2008 with 20k on it or an 09 with 20k on it. Of course an 08 model. Now factor in your discounts you can get from an 08 ML, a 09 ML and a 10 GLK. Taking over an existing dealer order will never get you the same discount as if it was sitting on their lot. Once it hits their lot, they are paying interest on the vehicle for every day its not sold. Even in this current economic climate, you won't see much of a discount, if at all on a GLK, especially in its first year of production.

As for throw-ins, I would look for 2 or 3 higher margin items for them to add to the deal but not too expensive where they would flat out refuse you. Like I said mats, cargo liners, maybe roof racks, etc.

Well as I have 2 other cars this will probably only have 6 000km's a year same as my C. I hear your point on if the car is at the dealer. But the dealer orders a GLK ussaully with garbage stuff. Like a bunch of them only had a premium package and navigation. I want everything hahaha except media connections and trailer hitch so I am screwed. It's like you gain in some factors and loose in some. I will probably ask them to throw in like chrome door handle cups ($90) all wheather mats if they make one already and Cargo tray ($125) dont know what that is tho hahaha

On my C i got some rebate of $1500-Free All-Wheather Mats- Chrome Licesne plate frame. And that was when it first came out. I took over a another persons order and waited about a month. When it comes down to negotiate about the price it will either be on my C or the GLK/ML 320 either way.

Just curious, did you end up buying the 320? If so, did you squeeze more out of the dealer? My wife recently bought a dealer demo E3504M and got about 30% off list. Using that as a yardstick I'd say $20k off is pretty good depending on the options on the vehicle. I am thinking of an ML 350 or 320 for myself, and would like to know what I can realistically offer. Any idea whether more discount (and how much more) can be had for the 350?

Well to start off with my case is different. Like with the 20K you could think that they gave 20K of the Ml320 or my C. Like I ended up getting The Ml320 my C for 43K but I was negotiating the difference I had to pay. I really don't know what to say about negotiating only if your in a similar case like buying an 08 brand new. If your planning on getting a 09 I am guessing about 3-5K off. I expected to pay a little more because this ML320 had every option on it basically fully loaded. Get a ML320-350 you will like it.

Oh yeah I never got the Ml320 posted in this thread. I changed to a different dealer. If you want to see the options I got check my signature.
