Is it possible to retrofit the new rear lights (OEM LED)
Hello,
On a 2006 ML W164 is it possible to install the new style rear lights that have leds. I'm thinking in original ones, not e-bay ones that have resistors.
Any idea if I would need to code something?
Thanks.

"nice ml63", or "nice SUV", or "nice car"
nothing wrong with him/her referencing "nice amg"
and for someone who posts as much as you... you really don't ever post anything helpful

i'm going to assume by your last statement above that you believe the reference to "amg" is in poor taste because you think the owner of that car slapped on an amg badge and license plate holder?
if so, then you are an ignorant because that is a real 09 ml63 and the badge is there from the factory.

Hey, that's my ride you guys are arguing over. The only badge not from the factory is the license plate frame which the dealer put on for me. It is probably a little over kill but oh well. As far as the lights are concerned as long as they are the same shape, which they should be, they should work. Mine came from the factory with the wrong tail lights (old ones) and they had to order the l.e.d.'s and put them on about a month later. Pretty much plug and play. Good luck with your ride.

On another note, rubensans I just got back from Barcelona and I was really impressed at what a fabulous city it is. The church downtown is truly incredible. Hope your retrofit works out o.k.

Do you think Mercedes will come with a "sport" LED rear lights? like the diference they previosly had with sports package models from standard models, the sport models were darker on the sides.

led's
If someone posts the part numbers, I will buy them and install them with photos and let everyone know if there are 'bulb out' errors
I have a friend with the tool that can check errors and reset things
I have a MY2006
