2008 Ml350
Yes
Yes, my 2008 Ml 350 idle was very rough, after 3 trips to the dealership, (normal) was the answer,,,, one of the service guys said it was not normal, and he adjusted the air flow sensor ( i think) now ,, It is very smooth.

Thank goodness I have a diesel. Smooth and quiet since day 1.
I would venture to say that your vibration is not normal, and can be corrected.
It would just be a matter of finding a dealer with a service writer and technician willing to spend the time.
Post the fix when resolved.
Take care.

2014 C250 sport
It's just odd that just the 350 engine in our ML does it...our E350 and C300 are smooth at idle, and theyre the same basic engine as the ML. I dont understand why it should vibrate in the ML but not the others!
I'll mention it when I take it in for service. I hope there is a fix for it, like a couple of you said.

It's an engineering miracle if V6s can be made not to vibrate under any circumstances! Any V6 is inherently unbalanced, unlike a straight six (see BMW) which is inherently balanced. That is why straight sixes typically rev higher than V6s. V6s have to incorporate counterweights and balance shafts to prevent vibration. Balancing has to be done at a specific engine speed, so if it is balanced at idle it could well vibrate at speed, and vice versa. I have nothing but admiration for engineers who can make an inherently unbalanced engine so smooth. Nothing to do with gas vs diesel.
But you shouldn't get any vibration with an ML500 or 550 as a 90-degree V8 is, like a straight six, inherently balanced.
