Saw a ML450 hybrid today
It's really nice. The only differences that I could tell from the current one are the hood, tailight, and wheels.
It carries manufacture license plate, probably doing field test. I took some pix, will post later (camera out of juice)

Theres quite a few of them out and about being tested. Most of them dont have any hardmarks on them though so you wouldnt know what they were. Did it have a black and white Alabama tag on it?

If I am wrong and you don't work there, or you can't say because you do work there, I understand and sorry to bug you, otherwise spill it....

I work there and yes there is a limit on what I can say. Most of the info is not available to me either. No diesel hybrids. My understanding is the testing is all over the place.

I understand. Just keep building these wonderful cars. And if you can, let someone know that a diesel hybrid would sell like hot cakes. That is actually the only thing I would consider trading mine for at this time. Especially if it makes say over 300hp and gives close to 40/gal...
