Whoa, not so fast!

Your suggested wheel/tire combo has an overall diameter of 29.9 inches. That is 0.7 inches more than stock AMG wheels. While that alone is unlikely to cause rubbing, you also need to know the offset. The 295/35 21 AMG package -- the closest to yours -- has 46mm offset 10Jx21 wheels. On my ML550, which has 265/40 21 tires, the front wheel offset is 60 mm and the rear is 48mm. The wheels are 9Jx21. If your wheels are much more than about 55mm offset, I wouldn't buy them without testing their fit first.

If you go with aftermarket wheels, make sure they are specifically for SUVs. I have OZ Canyons that I use with winter tires; they have a specific line for SUVs. Also, the tires should be marked XL, for 'extra load'.

I have a 2010 ML350, blk on blk and am considering the second wheel you have attached. The only issue I have is that I haul a boat every summer and I'm not 100% sure if the tires or 22 inch rims are a good idea.

Anyone know if I would be ok hauling a 6500 lb payload with that tire and wheel set up?/

ML350 with 22" wheels

Here's a picture of my 2008 ML 350 with 22" wheels and 285/35 tires. I have since installed the OEM running boards.

Is your car lowered? I want to get 22's but I do not want it to look funny.

22 inch wheels

My vehicle is not lowered. Here's another picture so that you can judge for yourself. Hope it helps. Good luck.

22 inch tire question

Just a word of caution: The 285/35 22" low-profile tires on my ML350 are noisy at slower speeds (below 35 mph). Examine the noise aspect when selecting your tire.

Your car definetly does not look funny. Now I'm confused, I was almost sure I was going to get 20's but now back to wanting 22's.

Thanks for the pics.

22 inch tire question

I had the same concern with 22s. I already had 19" inch stock wheels so upgrading to 20" wouldn't make much of a difference, I thought. I looked for 21" as a compromise but didn't find any. In my opinion, the key with 22s is to go with a wheel that doesn't deviate dramatically from the OEM look. But in the end, go with what you like. Enjoy the process.

Appearance wise what's the difference between the 2010 350 and 550 . I see that most years from like 09 down the 350 just don't come with the running boards . But the 2010 comes with it now.
