Oil Filter

Is there a specific brand MB recomends for the ML 350? I know Mobil 1 is recomended but am seeing a few different OEM fleece filters for sale and want to make sure I get the right/best one. I wonder what they use at the dealer

Your input would be appreciated. Thanks

Agree with Sosh. Use the OEM Mann Fleece. I use the Part # HU718/5x for a 2007 ML 500. You can get them on e bay. I use allgermanparts on e-bay. Great price and service.

I see Mann on AutohausAZ for like $15. Also a Mahle-Knecht that looks pretty similar. Just wanted to make sure it was the right filter or same as dealer would use before buying.

I can only imagine what they charge at the dealership for it. They get pretty outrageous numbers for A or B service around here. I'm looking for some alternatives.

I don't mind paying for something, I just don't like getting ripped off.

Thanks all for your help.

I have been buying parts from here for quite some time without any issues. Compare and see what you think.

I saw Champion auto parts store has FRAM for $10.99 and is made in Germany. PepBoy has a different brand but for ~$26 a pop.

OEM, or WIX (amsoil) are top notch

(WIX Part Number: 57062 - same ones as the jeep 3L turbo diesel)
