Question Wheels for 2010 ML Bluetec

Looking for feedback on aftermarket wheels for my '10 ML. Currently looking at Mandrus mannheim gunmetal 22x9 with Yokahama Prada Spec X 22's. Concerned about width exceeding wheel well. Does anyone have pic's with 22's, what are your experiences? Please Help

I've been going back and forth on the size of wheels. Ultimately, since our ML is primarily the wife's...and talking to the shop...I decided that the 22's would affect the ride too dramatically. The other issue is the limited availablity and cost of the tires to fit the 22's. We're also getting Mandrus wheels...but Millenium 20's with the Parada's as well.

Wheels

When you say 22's will affect the ride too much, do you mean more of a stiff, rougher ride? I don't want to sacrifice too much ride for looks. Although I would like the baddest looking Bluetec in town.

Ride quality??? I have an ML350 with 19" wheels and tires mounted for the winter, but in the warm weather months i run Avanti 22" with Pirelli tires, cant tell the difference in the ride.

Nice to know I can stick to the game plan and run Parada spec X 22's on Mandrus wheel without sacrifice. I'd still love to see some pics with 22's.

I'm curious what you're running for tire sizes then?

It is naive to suggest that you can't tell the difference between a 3 inch smaller wheel...riding with higher profile tires, than low profiles on 22's.

I can very clearly tell the difference between my 18's and 19's on my car.

No i do not believe im being naive at all.I just tell it how i feel it.I have 19" wheels and Blizzak winter tires (255 50 19).Then first sign of spring i put on 22" chrome Avanti wheels with (285 35 22) Perllli sport tires. And i cant tell any difference in ride quality.I believe the 22's handle better at higher speeds than the winter Blizzaks.I also do the same switch of wheels and tires to my S550 also, again no ride quality change. But maybe all the miles i have driven and along with the fact i also drive Top Alcohol Dragster has weakened my senses in the area that would feel the ride quality the most.Dont know, but for me.....it works, and i guess that is all that matters.

I guess everything must feel like a buttery smooth ride after getting out of your dragsters...lol.

Whatever works for you!

The discussion is much appreciated. I will go with the 285/35/22 parada's. I'm torn between the Mandrus mannheim and the millennium wheels. The millennium's in chrome would look sharp on palladium. I'll post pics once decided. I'd love to see a pic of your wife's ML with the millennium's. Thanks again.
