my mtec xenon kit works intermittently

just installed my mtec xenon kit today, and it works intermittently....

sometimes both lamps work, sometime only one side works, or worse both lamps dont light up!

usually this occurs when i randomly switch on my lights within a few seconds/minutes of each other, then surely, one or both sides fail.

when i let them rest for many minutes then likely both will operate as normal.

does this have something to do with the ballast design?

my other cars have factory xenons and i can turn them on and off many many times without fail.

this is frustrating having read all but positive reviews on this product.

Most of the aftermarket kits are junk. In addition they do not offer all of the features that the oem Xenons have.

in this case, its really junk, this is my first aftermarket xenon kit after having read good reviews about it in this forum.

all my other cars have factory bixenons and they light up everytime.

Mtec's receive all this praise for being a quality kit. So much for that.

gonna return the kit today, fingers crossed mtec can send a perfectly working replacement. its either a factory defect or a design flaw, but with all the praises theyve been getting...i hope its just a defective item.

You might have defect ballasts.
I have Mtec HID over 2 years and no problem so far.

You need error eliminators.....solved my issues, which were exactly the same.

i returned them. i dont want to hassle myself with a safety related component that might work intermittently down the line, so i refused an exhange.

also the 4500k bulbs are infact 4300k but they look very yellow....like high wattage halogens.

totally disappointed with the kit i got as opposed to all the positive reviews for mtec. first impressions last for me, so im not going to reinstall another one.
