These are expressly forbidden by Mercedes and are a potential safety hazard.

Most REAL Mercedes mechanics won't let you out of their shop without removing them first.

Put car wax on your wheels and the dust won't stick as much and will wash off much easier.

These became popular in the 80s and they worked as intended (keep wheels cleaner) HOWEVER there is a problem. They keep the brakes from ventilating using the proper airflow as designed so they overheat and become a safety hazard as stated above. You don't want to use them.

I use Michelin Brake Dust Repellent. I bought it at Canadian Tire. In the US, I believe Autozone sells it. It works -- it partially stops the dust from adhering to the wheel and it makes hosing it off much easier.

Do you just spray it on and let it dry?

Cool, I will check it out! Might be easier to spray something like that on than apply wax and having to wipe off.

Yes, but then give it a quick 30-second buffing with a soft cloth.
