ML350 CAD vs USA

I just recently bought a 2008 ML350 in Canada but it is a American car. I was wondering are all the parts the same? because I have heard/read that people had problems getting their car fixed because the parts in Canada does not match the parts on US specified cars. Is that true? or does anyone have any ideas? thanks

From what I understand all parts are the same. However standard eqipment and options do differ. There may be some items on your vehicle that are not on Canadian vehicles and Vice Versa. I would think that a Canadian dealer would have access to these parts should they be required and only a time delay to get them may become an issue.

The "parts" that are likely to be different include

heater control
diesel block heater
light switch

That is, not much to really worry about

Well, I got some more info from the dealer, they said close to 4000 for the conversion and one of it is the day time running lights, what could be different from Can and US one? thats weird but I'm having second thoughts now, thanks guys for your input.

The difference is that DRLs are NOT optional in Canada.

I did what the manual said but the low beam stays on all the time when the engine is running,is that right? or did I do something wrong.

I have it set at auto after doing that procedure but low beams stay on all the time :S
