Question ML 320 CDI oil leak... help !

Hello ,

I have a 2008 MB ML 320 CDI,
just purchased it from the dealership ( Montreal, Canada )
after sitting 2 days in the garage I realized there is oil leaking ..

I have no clue what it could be , the puddle seems to be getting bigger now..

The car is on warranty and has 70,000km.
and there is no ''check oil'' light/

What could it be ? Anyone else experience anything similar ?

it could be many places but if you see leak on the bottom, it could be easy to trace back. I'd suggest that you send some pictures and somebody with more experience could help you.

As first check, check cooler lines (my ML320 CDI was bought in Montreal too and I got a few leaking places fixed under warranty).

when I am buying car (current bought in Montreal ), I'm always looking for some initial warranty and it's good example for reason.

My suggestion is to inspect car outside MB before you do any fix under warranty. I initially did and I found a few problems which MB fixed under warranty (they did because I pointed on exactly problem).

Sometimes MB is trying ignore problem if you are close to end of warranty and it is not safety issue ...I could be wrong but ...

I had found my 08 320cdi leaking power steering fluid & motor oil when changing the oil. Not enough to leave drops in garage yet. Dealer checked. My warranty paid $3700us to replace top main seal on PS and oil cooler seals. Now like new. Common problem from reading this forum.
