First time to fill'er up...almost had a heartattack!
So this is my first SUV...I'm peeved when I see +$50 to fill up my BMW sedans....then I go to fill up my new ML for the first time (full tank almost lasted 2 months from the dealer), $95 @ $4.15/gallon!!!! 
I guess I was preparing myself but still hard to believe when you see it in front of you.

Fuel tank is 25.1 gallons / 95 liters. Of that, 3.5 gallons / 13 liters is reserve. If you took on 22.9 gallons (= $95 @ $4.15), you were cutting it pretty close!

bah!!! The current Canadian Dollar is woth about 97 cents US. 91 Octane is $1.35... 1 liters = 0.264172052 US gallons. Or $5.11 per gallon CDN or $5.26 per gallon in US dollars
FYI Diesel is $1.40 a Liter or $5.30 /gal CDN or $5.46 USD
My Expedition has a 120L tank.
to fill... $162

It always amazes me when we go to Canada, how much more gas costs. Must be heavily taxed, since Canada has so many of the natural resources. Love Canada - going there in two weeks! Just hate paying the high gas prices and now the crappy exchange rate.

oddly, the same card wont work twice in a row at the same pump here and I usually carry just one card....to rack up the miles.
When I bought the car, the diesel was 10K more at purchase....couldnt swing it.
Just got back from Turks and Caicos, reg unleaded was 6.00 per gallon....and the locals say that was on the low end. I guess I dont have it that bad, but if I lived there....where my driving too ?

This is also my first suv (2011 ML550), and although the fillup costs are higher than what i'm use to, i am pretty impressed by the fuel economy. Considering the weight and performance of the vehicle, I say it's not bad.
