How to play music from Iphone 5 via Bluetooth in ML350 2008
Hi All,
I have Ipod integration on my 2008 ML350 and I wanted to play music from my iphone 5 via bluetooth, because for Iphone 5 they change the pin which is not compatable to IPOD integration pin. So can someone tell me is it possible to play music via bluetooth, if yes then how?
Thanks,
Praveen

For the earlier 164/251 models if you have the iPod you don't have the aux input and visa/versa. Only during the newer models they have dual inputs.

I am not sure I have both AUX and IPOD inputs or not in my ML350 2008, I will check and if it is there then I guess it will be pretty simple. And Thanks a lot for all your ideas.
Thanks,
Praveen

how to play music from an iPhone 5 on the Ipod interface on an older ml350
Apple sells a coverter. It converts a lighting connector to the older 30 pin connector. 29.00 buck at Best Buy

If you have OEM iPod integration just get this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bluetooth-A2...90564405467%26
Converts your iPod cable to a A2DP receiver.
Just bought one myself, I'll post my results.

Thanks

I mentioned above that i was using the mercedes media interface plus, but actually it does not properly work, for me, with iphone 5. At least via bluetooth - i cannot pick up the songs.

Can you stream via Bluetooth? I don't care much about seeing song titles. I'm however looking for a way to stream via Bluetooth. Thanks

That sucks. Thanks for the info. We will have to wait until something comes out I guess. I think MB dropped the ball on this one. iPhone 5 has been out for months and still no solution. Many, much cheaper brands out there can stream music fine.

Not sure what's up. The phone/voice bluetooth works of course. It's just the music part. I may stop by the dealer to see if there is any new COMAND updating to be done, but I did update relatively recently to get the back-up/reverse guide lines on the screen - but that was I think before iPhone 5.

Hi,
I tried this device and it DIDN'T work, so pls avoid it
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=281048974840
It gives unrecognized device on the panel and my 2010 ML350 won't play anything
Btw, I just ordered a new device which I think can do the trick as it connects to the aux interface and avoid the complicated protocol exchange of the iPod interface
