Fuse charts W164
Can anyone assist with a fuse chart/s for a 2008 ML 320CDI? I am thinking the fuse location for my particular problem is in the cargo area.
The 7 pin trailer plug is completely dead and i am suspecting an accessory? fuse problem? Caravan lights etc work fine when hooked up to my old ML270 but the 320 won't play the game....
Thanks

The reason for this question is a special control unit is required to connect the trailer wiring. Do you have one?
yes, there is a flat (3" x 2" app) plastic unit with a Mercedes trailer etc etc sticker on it located near the fuse panel and the van lights are LED. I have checked all the 7 pins with a multimeter and have no power for any of the functions. Hence my fuse check..
Thanks again
Problem solved - one terminal on the ECU connector was bent and the wires had just been pushed back in to the box, not making any connections.
Straighten terminal, and fit connector correctly - bingo!
I would still appreciate any fuse charts for this 6/'08 320 CDI.

Thanks Ian.
I had the tyre and toolkit out the other day and no paperwork. Since contacted the previous owner and no joy.
A chart would be very much appreciated ....

They have update half the screen showing part of the Murrumbidgee as a lake, whilst the other half is a fire hazard!
Thank you for the file Ian.
Yes, Cavan is predominately on the S side of Burrinjuck Dam, fed mainly by the Murrumbidgee River which rises from the S of the ACT (Canberra). Cavan is sheep and cattle country with a lot of heavily timbered areas, much prone to lightning strikes during dry storm events. There have been 3 major fire events starting from the Cavan area since 1984, the last being in 2003. The past few years have been wet and consequently the grass has grown to dangerous levels for impact by fire. Could be a bad year!

Could fuses in the cargo fuse box, be controlled by another fuse box?
I have no power to fuses #70 and #72 in the fuse box in the cargo area. These two fuses power the 7 point trailer lights.
I can relocate the two fuses to unused powered slots in the cargo fuse box, however, I was wondering if the two fuses #70 & #72, are powered by another connection, perhaps another fuse box under the hood or under dash?
Thanks
Joe
