Unhappy Bluetooth puck - NO POWER

Hi everyone - Just wanted to introduce myself to the community

A few days ago I (my wife) became the proud owner of a 2007 ML350 that I picked up in Houston (Texas vehicle - one owner - 57k miles - $14,480 cash). So far everything runs perfect except the Bluetooth that I found in the upper center console (BT Adapter B67875878). I tried to pair it with my phone and pressing the MB symbol on it doesn't do anything (no blue light - no power). I figured that it might be a bad unit and I ordered a brand new ViseeO mb4 Bluetooth adapter. Today I received it and connected to the cradle but NO POWER. I checked the fuse box - nothing! I don't know where else to look. I do have a crushed iPhone cable inside the glove box that I think is connected to the back of Command/Navigation system by the previous owner or part of the vehicle's factory options. I wonder if that might be my problem. Any suggestions? TeleAid works and the buttons for it inside the center console do light up. I suspect a bad cradle connector. I found a used, identical with mine UHI cable/cradle connector in UK (eBay) http://www.ebay.com/itm/200909912104...84.m1497.l2649.
What do you think? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Is the puck properly installed? When you press telephone (TEL) on the COMMAND what does it say?
Possible you may have to have the dealer reprogram the COMMAND unit with updated software. That may clear up some issues.
Just some ideas off the top of my head.

Did you check both front and rear fuse boxes. I dont recall if there had to be a programming change to Command.

There is another fuse box under the hood, should be passenger front wheel well. It might be worth a subscription to www.alldatadiy.com. Its cheap, like 16.95 per year and lots of good info.

There also is a fusebox in the cockpit. Media Interface looks to be Fuse #15 and its a 30AMP. I am not sure if they are referring to the fuse box in passenger side dash. Open door and there is a small trap door on side of dashboard.

I finally received the replacement UHI connector from UK but I don't know how to remove the bottom of the upper center console to remove the old connector and plug the new one in. Any suggestions? Thanks

Removed and replaced the UHI connector (thank you Dennis), installed my viseeO mb4 Bluetooth puck and NOTHING. It doesn't power up and on the screen I get "no phone inserted". I checked all fuses - engine compartment, trunk and inside the vehicle on the right hand side of the dash - all good. So far I'm over $400 into this Bluetooth problem and can't get it to light up. PLEASE HELP!!!!! Thank you

Look under the back seat(2006). There should be a Bluetooth Module(silver box with a Black and a blue connector). Make sure the black connector is plugged in. The thick red wire inside the black connector should have 12 volt supply. This is feed by the 30 amp fuse, located on the side of the dashboard fusebox.

My vehicle is a 2007. I looked under the left side back seat and everything looks to be factory connected (see pics); the inside fuse box doesn't have a 30 amp fuse (see pics). Inside the glove box I have a cable with an ipod connector and I suspect that it is not a factory/dealer install (see pics). Is it possible that the previous owner might have unplugged the phone from the back of the Command and plugged the ipod cable? How do I take Command out to check? I'm running out of ideas. Thanks

Time to start tracing wires.

Double check the fuses.

Communication between the command and the Bluetooth control unit is done via the Most, Optical cable! It looks like the connection is made. Here is a test just unplug the the Most cable on the phone module and you will see that you loose the audio and the radio refuses to power up! The Bluetooth phone module is the one on the left.

You are referring to the silver module box with the orange sticker, right? Also, the #10,15,16,17 and 18 fuse slots inside the car look like were never used. No wires behind the fuse box. Thanks

I would say look for a fusebox, possibly right rear.

I found all three fuse boxes and checked all fuses. Do I need to take the car to the "stealer" for a Command software reprogram? It should be power at the viseeO and it's not ...losing my patience and mind too

I have no other better ideas where to look in order to get some power at the cradle. Today I took out the command to be sure that everything is connected and it is. I found an ipod interface hooked up behind the comand and I disconnected it because I'm not using an ipod in the vehicle and the apple plug was busted anyway. I guess it wasn't an aftermarket install from the previous owner as I thought but an OEM part (see pics). Any advice where to next? Thanks

I had the same problem on my 2007 gl and it turned out to be a broken wire in the harness where it goes through the armrest cover. The harness is covered in a sort of plastic mesh and has numerous wires inside.

Thank you for your response. Is this something that I could look at myself? How hard would it be for me to take it apart and look at it? I'm sure it can't be that difficult.
