Question Replacing brake pads

2007 ml350 - I went to remove the caliper which calls for an 8mm hex but it does not fit- 6, 7, and 10mm don't fit either. HELP!

Are the bolt heads dirty?

C230 Sport Coup + 2006 W164 ML350 + 99 Ford Escort (What the heck, it gets 38 mpg!)
Calipers are held on with 18mm bolts. Rotors are T?? torx screw, not hex. Not sure on size.
18mm is a less common size, I had to buy it separate as my set had only 17mm and 19mm.
Just did the rear on 06 ML.
So not sure what you're talking about.
What I'd like to know is where to adjust the slack in the ebrake cable.
Already adjusted parking brake pads.

I'm guessing we are talking about different screws

The caliper pins on the rear require a T45 bit. Geniuses on the internet and YouTube say the rear uses a 7mm hex key but I've never seen a hex socket bolt on a Mercedes-Benz and wouldn't expect to find one on the brake calipers.

Only had up to T50 today while the sun was still shining. I think the front might be a T55, but don't go betting the farm because I said so. Am going to find the right answer but it might not be next weekend as replacing the rears muted the idiot light.

Bought full set of front/rear Akebono ceramic because for the same reason one would replace both front or both rear shocks I want the same coefficient of friction on all 4 corners for the ABS, stability, and traction control systems to stay in balance.

The caliber pins are HEX (yes you can get a Torx to fit) and I think are 7 or 8 mm.
The caliber mount bolts are 18 mm
