Electric seats not working

Hello everyone, reaching out from Iceland.

I´ve been through so many posts and some of them helped and others did not.

I drive 2006 ML500 and the electric seats are not working. I´ve checked the fuses in the back 27 and 28 i think, 30amps wich are all good as well as two others that might be something to do with the seats. Relay K is also in good condition.

But my driver seat as well as the passenger seat are not working, they do not go back and forth and I cannot move the stall the back either. All other electrics in the car are working as they should. I tried to look for loose wires but can´t see anything.

Has anyone here had similar problems and might know why they are not working?

best regards.

As you know the seat movement circuit is complicated, however if you won't spend the money for a scan then you are limited to pulling the door panels and with a volt meter start testing whether you have voltage(at control module\motor\bla bla when you depress the seat button-----now what is faulty??

For both of you gentlemen, access the rear SAM in the cargo area and locate conn. G, wire #22 Blue/Red. Turn the key to pos. #2 and test wire for 12v+.

The next step is for this member only as the diagram is different for other models.

With the key on, check both contacts at fuse 62 & 63 in the cargo area fuse box for 12v+. Then check both contacts while someone operates the switch on both front seats.

Hello everyone, and thank you for any and all help you can give me, i own a 2007 ML500 ,vin WDC1641752A222536
for some reason i could never reset my service schedule, eventually it got the better of me, and a freind of mine had access to a MB star Scan tool, so we set about resetting the service schedule, not sure what happened but we ended loosing communication with the Gateway, basically wiped it out, now no indicators, brake lights and other weird things happening, so off to mercedes it goes to be reflashed, all good, till i pick it up from my mates, and i find out now the front seats dont work, and the sterring column wont move either, any ideas of what might be going on???

Scan all modules with Star and post the code numbers.

Electric seat finally working

after advice from the workshop, they changed the rear SAM first, and front SAM module, and also programing, but the seats were
still not working, and then they found a broken relay under the driver's seat and after changing the broken relay, the electric seats start working. So broken reley cost my about 1500 dollars

No one named ML550 posted on this thread.

Relays under the seat only apply to W163 vehicles.

Hi Major,
Would you please indicate which relays (on 2006 ML500) belong to front seats. Thanks

M/B does not supply the location of relays K24/1 & K24/2. Possibly under respective seats.

Did you have any water entry in the spare tire area?

Bone dry everywhere. When the fore aft button is pushed I can hear a buzz but movement. Other movements work perfectly. Also I can't see any relay under the seat.
BTW, the photos don't show.

Is it only one seat or both seats? If it's just one, then an object is blocking movement. Remove the bolts on the seat and have a look.

Started with passenger seat. I swapped the modules with the driver's side, and when I put the modules back, the driver's side also stopped working. Again, only fore/aft functions are not working on both seats. Other functions of the seats work perfectly, even the headrests move up and down with the push of the relevant button.
I have removed the seats, no visible obstruction. As mentioned, when the fore/aft button pushed either way, there's only a buzzing noise from the motor and no movement.
Thanks,

When you swapped the two modules, they are coded to that door. That is why they are both not working. Swap them back
