W164 steering wheel paddles not operating

Does anyone know what would be the problem when the steering wheel paddles do not work?

Are you referring to the three stalks on the column? Are you saying none of them work?

Think you mean the gear changing paddles?

I have a problem with mine in that both paddles only change up whereas the right should upshift and the left downshift.

If you have an older W164 both paddles up shift and down shift on each paddle. One side is up and the other side of the paddle is down, they pivot in the middle. Both on the right and left side of the steering wheel. The later models are one side up the other side of the steering wheel down.

Thanks for this post.

Have just checked mine and they work as described above. Need small fingers to hit the right part of the switch though!
