Sorry ignore my typo was outside testing it and autocorrect on my phone changed “I just” into “mom” 😬

i’ve just bought the truck and have found a few things up with it since buying. Not much but annoying enough to try and fix them and the main is no power to any sockets which I need for phone charging.

With the key out of the ignition, remove conn. G and see if there is any corrosion on the plug or on prongs in the SAM.

If there isn't, reinstall the plug and find a used rear SAM Module in the European market, part #164 900 51 01, which came from an OM642 vehicle. Then it will be plug & play will no coding necessary.

Darn I Was hoping it wouldn’t be the sam!
ok I’ll try to disconnect it and check for corrosion tomorrow fingers crossed that’s what it was.
If not I guess I have to weigh up wether I buy a used sam or just go without power sockets...

i may just wire wire in a usb connector for my phone and steal the power from the stereo.

Cheere for you help maj amd ill update with the results

Don't do what you are thinking about the radio. Let me see if I can find a work-around.

I am aware of that and the work around will only power up the front charging socket.

They make them expensive because they know there is no programming necessary.

Go to conn. G again:

1. with the key out of the ign, test wire #13 Blue/ White. There should be no voltage.

2. turn key to on pos. and test again. There should be voltage.

Solved

So after all this fannying around, I thought I’d buy a second hand relay the grey box under fuses 44-46.
Fitted and boom it’s sorted the problem...
