Hello all, I’ve just purchased myself a 2006 w164 ml320. I’m baffled but I don’t seem to have any power at all in the cigarette socket nor any other outlet in the car.
I’ve checked all the relevant fuses in the boot fuse panel but all were ok and replaced them for good measures but still nothing.... any ideas as i’m stumped

With the key on, check both contacts at fuses 44, 45 & 46 in the cargo area fuse box with a test light or DVOM .
Sorry for the late reply I had to buy a tester!
Ok so no power showing in all fuse connections? as in 44 45 and 46

Was the key on or the eng. running while you tested them?
The Key was in with the engine running

Do you have a test light? If not get one.
What is your full vin#?
Yep I have a couple different testers including the type in your pic! I’ll grab my vin when I get home

By the way, is your truck gas or diesel?

Is there anything else that does not work in the truck?
Nope Not that I can see, is there anything on the same relay or line as the sockets?

The rear wiper does work however it stops half way on songle wipe and then works fine when used with a spray . but bottomed that out to a motor issue. So I guess power is getting to this

Before I post instructions, have you checked both contacts at fuses 44, 45 & 46, with a test light?

Locate the Rear SAM unit in the cargo area and at conn. "G", find wire #21 BLUE/WHITE.
With the eng. running, probe the contact at the wire and see if the test light illuminates.
It looks like my rear sam is different from the one insourcing pics?
Ignore my last the sam just seems to be located a different way around!
Mom tested slot 21 blue and white wire and no power here too. I tested other wires within the same connector box and they had power

Did you just buy this truck, if not, you must have done something to one of the interior sockets to cause this problem?
