Hi Major,
I replace the motor with a new one and after a few days the same problem and code recurred. This time I removed the motor and the small shaft looks like the attached picture. There's a cord wrapped around the shaft. There's a steel core wrapped with some wooly material, may be to stop dust getting in. the cord has been dislodged as seen on the picture. I can't make it stay wrapped. I don't know whether that's how it's supposed to be.
Any thoughts please.
Thanks,
P.S. Both motors work perfectly fine when not installed and powered just by connecting the power plug under the seat! So may be the wrap on the shaft gets jammed in and stop any movement.

That's the worm gear shaft. You will have to look at the component/seat frame that it goes into.

What is the function of that wire wrapped around the worm gear. I'm pretty sure that is the cause of the problem specially now that is broken.

If it came with the new one, I can only assume that it is a cleaner. Other than that I have no idea.

It's the old one. I have a hard time finding a replacement. Any way I can find out the part number? I've looked at a few exploded view but non had this part showing.
MB sells the entire carriage!
Thanks

I'm confused. I thought you bought a new motor and installed it.

Yes I bought a new motor. But the same problem reemerged after a few days. I'm sure problem is with this short shaft that I can't find a replacement for.

That shaft is part of the motor and cannot be bought separately. Your problem is where that shaft is inserted in.
