It is on the outside of the transmission but after replacing it, it must be coded with STAR.

For the message “Drive to workshop without changing gears”. To install a transmission ISM safety module. I haven’t had the vehicle scanned. I’m just trusting what I’ve learned on the forum thus far. Thanks for your response and help. Dan S

Yes I can start the truck. It does not go into drive or reverse until the truck runs in park for about 20 minutes. This is discussed in another thread on this forum that you have advised on. You’ve been most helpful. It is best if I purchase the diagnostic devises you have suggested and then I believe I can repair the condition. My question on this thread was programming another module which you have answered yes. I thank you very much sir. I’m not the most mechanical person so I’m kind of learning as I go along and your advise and patience is again most appreciated. Sparty

You should have not opened another thread on the same issue as it is not helpful to anyone, it should have been continued on the first one.
I do not think it is an ISM problem but I think it is a trans fluid problem. Either it's low on fluid or maybe the filter is clogged.
Check for leaks at the trans and also the lines at the radiator.
For the last time, you must own your own scanner.
