I clean EGR valve and message is still there.
2. I also have 2003 S500 with SRS R12/3, does it really mean Clock spring is bad.

Newby to MBWorld, but not to MB’s. 2007 ML350 sudden no fuel gauge, and no low fuel light. I pulled the rear SAM, opened the case on found corrosion in front of #5 connector, next to the electrolytic cap. Cleaned all that up, thought it might fix it, but didn’t. Found some old forum notes to measure resistance between pins 27 and 40 to pin 33 power on and off. Pin 27 power on/off was 328 ohms/327 ohms. Pin 40 power on/off was 182 ohms/174 ohms. I think pin 27 is the left tank float output. Any other test needed to confirm the sending unit needs replacement or am I missing something?
