Thanks so much.... every time we want to order something from eBay they ask us ti check part# 1120940004. Seems as if we can't confirm whether that would fit the vehicle or not!

Be sure to review the official WIS procedure for air filter change for your model.

on my diesel (2007 GL320CDI . same engine) after hanging the filter a computer reset operation is required. Apparently asensor is monitor filter restriction. Have never seen much on forums about this, whether it will automatically adjust when seeing less restriction or not, etc.

imho air filter change is not a diy operation on these engines

This is procedure for 166.

For 164 there are three procedures ... Remove/install air filter housing (left), Remove/install air filter housing (right), and Replace air filter element.

The latter for 164 is AR09.10-P-0980GZD

The final instruction is "Reset quantity mean value adaptation data using STAR DIAGNOSIS."

I don't understand what you are trying to say, the OP has a W166.

This is the W164 forum ... but in any event might confirm WIS for 166 doesn’t mirror 164 if having procedure for changing filter that references separate procedure(s) for removing the airbox. Curious whether the computer reset requirement is really gone.
