I have no idea of a reset for the A/C. Maybe in other models, but not on MLs.
If this is the first time you are turning on the A/C since last summer, 95% of the time there is a leak in the system.

Roy,
Me too. 2013 ML 350 80k, Florida car.......I'm looking for how to get the hidden display for the climate control.
The AC used to come on when I started the car, now it takes a couple of minutes to start cooling....and it does cool after that...no problem...just delayed at start up.
It's not a big problem but it has been my experience that minor changes often hint at an up and coming problem..Ignoring these warnings can result in expensive repairs.
Maybe it's as simple as the 6 year old battery .....voltage is crucial to these cars....or a failing sensor....
The ac voltages , pressures and temps would certainly be a good place to start.
Otherwise.....this car has been great! I also maintain a 99 ML320.....ahhhh if they all could be that simple.

There's got to be an option for reset. I switched a new compressor now its very cold, but the driver side this drives me crazy.

And I once again learn to keep my trap shut unless I KNOW something, it doesn't work on my ML either! I apologize.

Did this reset procedure correct your problem?
