2008 ML350 Spark Plugs Recommendation
Hi All, I did a bit of searching but could not find a conclusive answer... hence the thread.
Can anyone recommend brand/model of spark plugs as I'll be replacing them on my W164 ML350 next weekend.
I believe OEM is Bosch Platinum but wondering if other options are available (possibly for incremental benefits like longevity, etc). I saw some folks using NGK Iridium and Denso Iridium...
Thanks all

Actually was able to find some threads searched under M272. But no recommendation on which spark plugs...

As per your owners manual, the correct spark plugs should be Bosch Y7NPP33.
Disregard the NGK plugs.

NGK's patented Ruthenium technology is used for maximum durability and performance in newer engines where efficiency is demanded.
Features & Benefits:
Features & Benefits:
- DFE (double fine electrode) and PSPE (projected square platinum electrode) tip designs. DFE maximizes ignitability while reducing emissions for low heat engines, and PSPE provides the best ignitability and service life for high heat (typically turbo and supercharged) engines.
- Superior oxidation resistance and enhanced blistering/anti-peeling to provide the most optimal durability at high temperatures in various driving conditions.
- Advanced high-ignitability technology that provides more complete fuel burn than other precious metal spark plugs, resulting in quicker throttle response, smoother idle, and better cold starts.

Ok, they are in. Old plugs were NOT Mercedes OE...? They look like they have the 64k which is on the vehicle, and are platinum, not iridium. Either way, I'm looking for a bump. Purchased at Rock Auto, the price was pretty good.

Noticeable improvement. Smoother and better acceleration, as well as partial throttle response. I'm messing with different fuel mixes, so it's hard to tell if mpg is up, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Thanks for reporting in I’m going to order the same spark plugs. Hopefully everything goes well.
