ML320 Rear Brake Lines
I am wondering has anyone replaced the steel brake lines on an ML. I am assessing what needs to be done to replace the existing steel rear brake lines on a 2008 ML320. It seems the route of the line goes above the fuel tank and looks inaccessible without dropping the fuel tank which requires the removal of rear drive shaft.
Would it be acceptable to re-route the brake line and avoid having to drop the fuel tank? Any other advice would be much appreciated.

Replacing brake lines is not an easy task and must be done on a lift. Special tools are needed and if bleeding is not done correctly, you will not be able to move the car.
