ML550 /ML63 Wheel question
Has anyone installed the ML63 wheels (which I believe to be 20inch compared to the 19inch ML550 wheels) on an ML550 WITHOUT the fender extensions?
I am not sure on the off set of the ML63 wheel, but would imagine it sticks out a bit further with the wider tires compared to the stock 19inch wheel/tire set up.
Questions:
- Will the ML63 wheel fit on the ML550? I would imagine that it would.
- Does it work without the fender extensions?
- How does it look if there are no fender extensions as the ML63 has? (I still would want a classic look, so it has to look right)
Would anyone have a picture of the ML63 wheel and tire set up installed on an ML550 WITHOUT the fender extensions?
Thanks in advance.

Don't know if they're from a 63 or not but I have both a set of 19 (winter) and 20" (summer) wheels for my ML350. Zero issues except the larger size I run in the summer means the speedometer reads a bit low.

Not to worried about the larger 20” inch wheel, more worried about the looks of it due to the wider tires and offset.
Do you have a pic of your setup?

Zero issues with rubbing ever, no matter if airmatic is high or low.

If you could provide rim size and offset as well as tire size, that would be awesome.
Many thanks in advance.

GL550 from 21” to 19”
I went the opposite to have more sidewall tire.. I took off my 21” and put 19” on the GL. My advice is to get your original books out and look at the tires and rims that were offered with your model . I have my 21” rims for sale.

Decided to go with the same set up as member OUZO Power, as shown in the picture thread in this forum section:
Wheel size: J9.5 x 20, ET 46mm
Tire: 275/45 R20
I will use the ML63 wheel, which is period correct for the W164 ML:
