oh man what a pain to remove cv axles, tried hammering like these youtubers said but that didnt do anything so i removed brake caliper (21mm socket),removed rotor and used this tool to separate it,i thought the tool is going to brake but it survived, also upper control arm didnt wanna separate so i had to use bearing puller tool,
total time spent so far 8hrs effectively, factory jack doesnt lif it enough to place jack stands so i had to do that twice,
to be continued

what a nightmare these bushings are,i bent this tool trying to get them out and broke the diff cover, luckily i found one for 50eur localy, you need at least two people to be able to hold it under a press, drilling the rubber and and cuting the bushing shell with a saw worked best

i used transmission jack to jack it up and install back, make sure you mark prop shaft and reconnect at same point,
had a little hard time putting cv axles back in but found out that little grease around retaining clip makes it easier,
installed new magneti marelli cv axles, one came without retaining c clip but i transfered it from the old one,do not bend it,
also dont pinch the rubber boot on the cv when you are trying to put it back as you will need to lower wishbone to clear the shock,
next step is gonna be prop shaft bolts to diff 40nm plus 90 degrees per repair manual(easy to rotate in neutral),
then cv axle nut to 250nm plus 45 deg, manual says model 164.1 250nm and model 164.8 260nm gonna have to figure out which one do i have,
shock absorber nut to wishbone should be tightened at 265nm

drives a lot smoother with new cv axles, everything is good, next is transfer case chain that is making noise under heavy load, and driveshaft center bearing, lots of physical power is needed so better be in shape

tools you need:
17mm for wheels(retighten to 150nm)
36mm for axle nut(once done retighten to 250nm plus 45 degrees 164.1 is ML 164.8 is GL gl is 260Nm),i did a final retight of axle nut with wheels on the ground after i tightened wheel bolts,
3 jaw puller, preferably heavy duty one,(do not hook it up to a brake disc outer edge)get one that bolts to wheel bolt holes ideally, mercedes oem tool for this is W210589034300 and it cost 500ish
t30 torx small disc retaining screw,
in case you need to take calipers off its 21mm,caliper guide pin is 9mm allen,
shock absorber to wishbone is 24mm u need to counter with 24mm as well(retighten to 265nm),
diff bushing mounts: small one 50nm 16mm counter with 16 as well p/n A1643330014
,2 large ones 93nm 18mm socket p/n A 164 333 13 14 ,
upper ball joint to spindle( you will need a bearing puller tool to separate it),21mm open wrench counter it with t45 torx, retighten to 20nm plus 90 degrees,i jacked the wishbone until it was easy to reconnect it,
propeler shaft to diff t55 torx, undo 3 lower bolts, rotate in neutral to reach upper 3 bolts, you cant retighten in neutral just put it in park,no need to start engine just turn ignition on,retighten them to 40nm stage 1 then stage 2 ninety degrees,
8mm allen key for drain and fill plugs, retighten to 30nm,
might be a good idea to replace wheel bearings while you are in there because you did 90% of work already

noticed a leak looked under and i saw right axle popped out of the housing probably because i bent the snap ring when i was trying to remove it although it went all the way in when i installed it so i ordered a new one, only 5 in europe are available, also i broke vent screw when installing bushings so ordered that from the dealer not many left too, total 30euros
so 350cdi front axle snap ring part number is: A007 997 8872
front diff breather screw part number is: A163 337 0073
