^^^ It's a chop. On Bild.de's auto website, credit is given to Larson for this CGI. But this is basically what the next ML will look like.
Official pictures of the ML will be released in the coming weeks however, with a debut in early June.

Many sources have claimed that the ML will be debuted in early June:
see here: http://www.BenzBlogger.com/2011/04/2...formation.html
here:http://blog.mercedes-benz-passion.co.../#comment-9192
(scroll down to the comments section in Google Translate, Markus Jordan, writer for MB Passion Blog, says that the ML will debut on June 9)
here: http://www.szbz.de/nachrichten/news-...3d991b0eb24bd5
(This source also includes a picture of a lightly disguised AMG pack ML)
Therefore, we can assume that MB will release pictures in a few weeks, for the world premiere in June.

Hi guys. I'm a CLS owner but need some more utility. I had one of the first generation ML's and was generally pleased with it
I've been debating ML vs X5 but am leaning towards a Blue- tec.
Here's what customer service said (after multi day wait). I followed up asking if they meant US or European launch but never received a response which has been disappointing.
"Thank you for your email.
The model year 2012 ML350 is anticipated for launch in August or September of 2011. *While pictures of the 2012 Model Year aren't available, we invite you to view the "Future Models" page under the "Innovation" section at www.MBUSA.comfor information on upcoming models.
If you have any further questions, please contact your local authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership for pricing and availability.
Sincerely,
Ray D.

From what I've seen here regarding spy photos, there is not enough exterior "WOW" changes for the 2012. That's why I picked up a 2011.
The X5 drives a bit more sportier than the ML, but from what guys have said the ML can be had for a cheaper price (It's all relative when each will be +$50,000). But the 2011 X5's with their meaty wheels really catches my eye even though I bought the ML.
