Mercedes showed the new ML at their Montvale HQs this weekend. Not as bad as I originally thought. Inside it is a significant change from the current ML. The quality of materials, shapes and touch/feel are wonderful. From the front it is refreshing and from the side it is more conservative. Overall, I was more impressed in person than in the initial press photos.

Those look like the standard 19x8.5s (255/50R19).

I was thinking that. If it's the thin stainless like the W164 "skid plates," it dents pretty easily.

They do dent easily as evident from my GL350 when someone tap its rear metal shield.

Thanks for the color clarification. Not too up on codes other than when black or white.

The rear "skidplate" on my ML has several dents from park-by-feel parkers, and it's around $500 to replace.
