Heated/cooled cup holders not available?
Not listed in P2 package on mbusa website. Yet another item not included at launch. I gripe about this car more than boast, huh? And I'll still be one of the first on here to have one.

They are not available in Canada, same as the iPad docks on the back of the headrests. I think MB should have done a better job of ordering enough product for all options to avoid problems at launch. No Xenons until the spring??? Come on!!!

Last I heard HIDs were scheduled for January. Ordering Guide had both March and January in it; dealer confirmed latter.

ML350 AMG Sport
You are possibly right, and definitely wrong. The 350 was listed as getting the AMG Sport Package in the original US brochure, page attached. The footnote says, "Requires Sunroof package, Trim package or Premium package". I never noticed whether it was actually offered on the V6, since I bought mine before it came out. Where you are wrong is that it was definitely available in that configuration in at least Asia and Australia. If you google ML350 AMG Sport you will find several for sale.

Hey guys. I ordered a 2012 ML350 this week and the dealer was unable to verify a couple of things for my November build/delivery. I ordered the vehicle with the S02 package. So, I just called MBUSA and got some answers. The hot/cold cup holders are not available at all. It looks like they discontinued that "option". Also, it is still unclear if the CD player will be single or multi disc. They referred me to the dealer on that one, but it seems the first ordered 12's had a single disc and November delivery has 6 disc. Not really an issue with the included digital memory feature. Lastly, the build your own option on MBUSA.com has a price of $5370 for Package S02 and includes illuminated door sills. My order lists that package price at $4970 and doesn't have the door sills, so they aren't yet available. But repeating, forget about the heated/cooled cup holders!

I bet lawyers came in to play to remove the heated cup warmers. imagine the lawsuits that would have happened with this option in this country.

March Delivery
Is the way I heard it
Have you looked into bringing a Canadian ML to the US from Vancouver?
We usually have to add a bunch of stuff to bring USA models into Canada so it may be possible.

That is for the AMG style pkg.
The 2006 page has a footnote for 350's wonder what it says.
I wish you well but think the 550 will be it this year.

I have a 2012 ML 350 P2. It was a "launch" vehicle, and was held up at factory to have hot/cold cup holders removed. It took high level intervention by MBUSA to get the car to me after repeated delays. I do have lighted door sills and the CD player holds 6 CDs. The safety package is annoying. Distronic cruise control will make you dizzy with the constantly changing speeds, and the lane drifting prevention is unnerving. The parktronic with auto-parallel parking is a dream and the blind spot avoidance system is overdone. The warning symbols would be enough without correcting the movement of the car. All this said, this was the most unprepared and unprofessional launch in recent history.

The door sills are not really visible during the day, and neither is the accent lighting under the wood trim. At night, however, both look really cool.

Heated/Cooled cup holders were discontinued due to a very simple, but apparently not obvious design oversight. A couple of early customers threw their key fob into the cupholder when getting into their car with the heating element on by accident. The fob was damaged by the heat. The feature was not idiot proof enough and MB doesnt feel like having to replace hundreds of fobs on warranty.
