COMAND Unit in Canadian ML

COMAND Unit in Canadian ML
Test drove a 2012 ML in Canada yesterday. I noticed that The Comand Unit did not have the "Globe" icon that allows access to Sirius weather. I have seen this on other models with the new 4.5 Comand Unit. Does this mean the Comand unit in the new ML is not version 4.5 or has this feature been disabled in Canada. Do the US ML's have this feature? Can anyone with a Canadian ML also verify. Thanks

Thanks for the info. This is odd. I have looked at mbusa site and their ebrochure clearly describes the feature of Sirius Weather. The MB Canadian site does not have a link to an ebrochure, however the pictures on their web site of the Comand screen show the `globe`icon for Comand Online. I alos noticed that in the vehicle I test drove it did not have the break `hold`function and this is described on the mbusa site. I find this all odd and confusing.

2012 ML350
The Canadian model is quite different than US spec. For example, all MLs here have the AMG styling package, excepting the 20" wheels.
We also don't get Mbrace, which is standard in the US, but not available on any model in Canada.

The hold function is on all Canadian 166 MLs. No Sirius weather as it is not supported in Canada yet on the ML.
Photos in brochures are often global images, hence the various disclaimers regarding "european content shown", etc.

I test drove a new ML a couple of days ago and I could not engage the HOLD function. Maybe I didn't do it properly? I currently drive a 2012 SLK 350 and it has the Sirius weather function (in Canada). It works well and I was hoping to see it on the new ML. Do you think it will just be a software upgrade. I really do not understand why there is so much cutomization for each Country.
