MB Canada follows MB USA as our government mandated standards are generally aligned. There is a zero percent chance that we will get a different lighting configuration vs USA.

Got message from salesman today.Let the delays or bs start.Was always told ml would come in on april 7 at the latest well now its supposed to arrive arround april 17 or around april 22-2012.Asked for build date twice but i can never get one.

 

Only a two to three week delay? Consider yourself lucky should you take delivery then.

My build date is April 1st and should be delivered by the end of the month; if that helps.

 

hope i do get lucky now there there seems there could be further delays because of bluetec engine-tranny issues.i am at the point of considering my 13. I don`t need the ml before mid september anyway.But can't wait to get it.

 

Went to the dealership today because I was planning to get a ML this week but! my sales agent told me ML-Class with the lighting package will be arriving in July, 60k car with no Xenon is ridiculous. Crossing my fingers its true, I want one now lol. He showed me a photo of a U.S. spec ML and the LED is amber not white. By law the color needs to be amber, the white color is for Europe.

 

I have not been able to find a ML 550 or 350 with p 2 and lighting pkg as of today (prefer 550) . I am not hopeful i will before my lease expires on my current vehicle in 15 days. Im really frustrated I might have to either pay for lots of options i dont want, or go and lease another manufactures SUV. Im hoping for some luck on this one.

 

Just got done with the sales guy ml 550 Iridium Silver, black leather, P-2, heated rear seats ,heated steering wheel will be ready for delivery on Tuesday. Im excited to pick it up and drive it.

 

You are going to LOVE the 550! I took a good drive today in a variety of traffic conditions and some higher speed highway running and this engine is incredible!! Power all through the RPM range and such a rush when you put your foot down.

I've never had a V8 vehicle before (well, since my driving my parent's family truckster station wagon back in the mid 80's) and its been a long time coming to finally have a beast like this one.

Cant wait to pick it up i had a E 500 that was fast and i drive a carrera s but this truck was supposed to b a 350 lol but i couldnt get the lights so a 550 it is . Gas consumption is going to be the same as the out going Touraeg which is not to good but this truck will fly.

Yes it has the lights and now the wait begins for dealer to get the car from another dealer in NYC

 

Just a thought, if the lighting package will be available around June/July why not wait another three months and get a 2013 model. Who knows maybe the design on the tail light and the front/rear bumper will be different.

 

It's extremely doubtful MB would change the fascias or taillights for the second model year. I'm probably waiting, however, for the other rumored revisions (color MFD, 360-deg. cameras, wood cupholder cover, etc.). I'm hoping, also, the option availaiblity is revised slightly.

Stopped by a local dealer this week to see the ML550 that had just arrived. The bi-xenon lights look great in person and are significantly different than the non-lighting package lights. I liked the amber lights even though I was expecting not to like it.

I'm waiting for a '13.

2nd-year redesigned basic cosmetic parts are not impossible, but unlikely outside of color-coded abs panels to replace some of the corrugated black plastic pieces.

Look at the '98 & '99 w163's and the '06-'07 w164's... very slight cosmetic changes, no "facelifts".. history will repeat itself IMO.

 

My dealer just got their first ML with the lighting package. I was told they should get one ML per month and in winter they are expecting 4-5 per month. By that time 2013 will be already out ! 360 camera seems a far stretch, like gocargo said redesign cosmetic parts is possibility. lity.
