Got my 1st CEL
Less than 3000 miles and the ML throws a CEL, ends up being a fuel pump code. Turns out a rodent chewed up the wire harness running to the fuel pump. I'm going home to kick my damn cat in the a$$

mechanic sent me some pics, looks like he was building his winter bed under the hood.

I'm relieved it wasn't an engineering issue with your ML. The X5 diesels have been having a lot of check engine light issues.
