AMG 21" wheels for ML?

I just noticed that on the 2012 ML550 build that the sport package gives you the option of AMG 21" 5-twin spoke alloy wheels.

Does anyone know if this possible for the Bluetech?, I really love the 21” AMG wheels. I wanted to know if an upgrade would work… If I paid the difference for the tire & rims?

This might be too late in my case as I have already picked up my truck.

Too late; you could have done a special order for them. Now your only option is to order them through the parts department.

Also, for clarity, the 21s come with high performance (summer) tires.

I ordered at the earliest possible time and was not allowed to select the 21" wheels without also selecting the, and I forget what it's called, but the $5K suspension pacakge. . .at least I think those are the wheels you're talking about

NOTE: Seems like maybe in my case there were just a different set of 20" that came with the "suspension package" that I couldn't get. . .21" doesn't ring a bell.

For Canada, the 550 Sport Package was originally planned to include the Active Curve System, which made it much more expensive. Lack of allocation forced the "downgrade" of the package to just 21" wheels and performance tires. AIRMATIC is standard.

The 350 Sport Package is AIRMATIC and 20" wheels.

If I had known that this option was available to me I would have got it done at the time of the order… as I wasn't even told that this was possible...

YYZ-E55, do you know the cost for the 21" AMG wheels with rubber?

Thanks!

My new 550 has the 20" rims and all seasons. I could have taken one with the 21" rims but did not want summer only rubber, forcing the purchase of snows and winter rims. Don't get enough snow around here to warrant it.

To be honest the 20" AMG rims are beautiful and much easier to keep clean than the 19" or 21" that have the spoke design with narrow openings in each spoke. These were what I had on my 08 and every time I cleaned the rims I cursed those narrow openings that fill with brake dust.

You just need the right brush to get in between the twin spokes. Now, these on my M3 are a ***** to clean!

Very nice wheel choice and a beautiful car (I creeped your album). I always wanted some RAC Monolites for my M3 when I had it.

Yeah, they're great - super strong and light. I had a set on my E46 M3, as well. I think they only built about 50 sets for the E9X. I think Ralph and Chuck are out of the wheel side business for good now, though.
