Thanks Greg.

Pano is offered for 2013, but availability is anybody's guess; likely it's still limited. I'm afraid if I cancel my MY12 order and go with the '13 I'm going to loose the priority I have now for my special options, so I'm staying with the '12.
That is the way that I am leaning; My biggest problem is that I really want to be driving it now. I know that is acting like a kid... but. If they can't build a 12 for you because the pano roof holds them up too long, do you get a priority for the 13's?

the day the vehicle touches the concrete of the dealership lot is the day that you can strike a price.

you have to play with what is available on that day.
I find that very hard to accept!

In Australia, in March 2009, I placed an order for an ML320CDI with a long list of extras at an agreed price and paid a deposit. I was promised delivery late June. Then you Americans had a GFC which closed the plant for a while and the dealer rang with apologies saying it would not be available until September. Well it was late October that they delivered an ML350CDI with extra airbag more power and still at the original price!
And this is regardless of the exchange rate which fell in that time.

I am about to order a W166 and I assure you it will also be at a fixed price contract.
