2013 US order info

Yes, I decided sometime ago the gas version is better for my needs and usage.
From my perspective the Bluetec is the way to go, but I was hoping to get the off-road package as well. Lots of terrain would be reachable without the x-fer case with airmatic and skid plates. Are skid plates available? Kinda makes me want to wait and see what Jeep does with the JGC for MY 2013.

That's sort of annoying that you lose the spare with the addition of the B&O. Makes the ideal road trip situation cumbersome if you need to put a spare on the roof or attach one to the hitch.
whole ML line
Im sure you need leather first but good idea
Available for August builds.
Im going to wait as my driving style and the SUV ride height will take full advantage of the active bolstering

The other is my SUV is for my wife, she doesn't care about having 1000 watt system - with the baby on the way - it will almost be useless and most of the time playing something on the Disney Sirus XM station.
Don't feel bad about not getting it, the ML 350 is a great vehicle all around.

Despite what the US documentation Greg posted suggests, the info I've got indicates it's driver's side only for the multicontour. Daimler hasn't been developing a passenger-side active multicontour on new models (212 E-Class, etc) due to the different weight sensing system in the passenger seat of Euro vs NA vehicles. The low take rate doesn't justify the development costs.
I could be wrong, but just sayin!
Designo wood is piano black or carbon fiber, IIRC.
