Ordering ML350 for MY 2013
I'm willing to take the time it takes to get the 2013 and the build out I need. I'm driving a car I love and when is no where near as important to me as what. I'll wait all year if necessary.

Pano roof shortage as well.
Does anyone have a picture or illustration on what the Multi Contour Seats with massage & comfort headrests actually look like?

Are they going to be the same physical seats but with the addition of massage function and articulating headrests? Or will the headrests be some kind of redesign?

In the other lines the seats don't really change but the control location does. Remember these ones are not dynamic. Head rests like Grand Edition two sides fold in

configuration strike out

I just spent two hours with the local dealership's Sales Manager trying to config the attached. After working through all the conflicts, and taking off a few items, a box kept poping up about some sort of global supply issue and instructed him to call someone (at the factory I suppose.) I left without a resolution.

Anyway, I got a printout from netstar. It is attached...

Night View Assist is a waste on the E/CLS/ML due to the location of the screen. Save your $.

That does kinda stink. I drive along an interstate where there's always deer crossing at night. I was hoping this would help...

Anyone have any opinion on "U09 MB-Tex wrapped dashboard (SPC)" versus... i guess the regular vinyl? I assume it'll match the Almond Beige Leather seats?

Thanks...

No, it's black (light color would reflect in the windshield), but looks very nice with stitching like the leather. Definitely a big upgrade.

I am ordering the night view assist on my 2013 ML. It is a matter of training yourself where to look. Taking your eyes off the road to look down (as in the S class) rather than to the right is not too much difference as you should not stare at either. As a retired pilot I can tell you that a glance is usually all you need. Also, you would be surprised what you can see with peripheral vision. Besides isn't it true that if the night view assist thinks it spots a person it will try to add additional illumination to it? Now whether it considers a deer important enough to illuminate I don't know.

I see option #876 for the absent lighting and illuminated side sills. I was told by my SA that these were now both included in the Premium 1 pkg for 2013?? can anyone confirm??

Including absent lighting would be an oxymoron, I think! Ambient lighting and illuminated sills are shown to be included in the Dealer Order Guide attached to the OP.

Now I wonder if it will look odd to have a dark dash and everything else light. Maybe I should go with the 255 (Almond Beige/Black Leather)?

You might consider adding the tow hitch (useful) and deleting the running boards (not many like them functionally).

Normal is a dark dash. On artico its dark Brown for beige interior. Black dash and Beige seat n door insert is awesome. But I wear exclusive Jeans and they stain the beige so I went brown/black

Hmmm. Does anyone know the difference then between the looks of 205 (Almond beige leather) w/U09 mb tex wrapped dashboard and just 255 (Almond Beige/Black Leather)? Is the main difference the stiching appearance of the U09?

Thanks...

I'm 90% there on placing an order for a 2013. I have two questions:

1) Has anyone seen any more info on how much Active Curve may cost? Will it be close to the cost of the 2012 Dynamic Handling Package?

2) My SA and I have agreed to a price of $1100 under invoice. I am not a USAA member. It was actually too easy. I asked for that price, he said yes. What am I missing?

That's a Canada-specific thing. If you order black leather in the US, you get a grey headliner.

Ditto to that...unless you have someone who needs to step on the running boards for access (i.e, very short), they're kinda a problem. You have to step way out or they get your pant leg dirty.

Another of my favorites is the 3-zone auto climate control with mist sensor (581). What MB doen't make readily known is that it adds more than just individual control for you passengers (the front right passenger shares with the rear), but adds extra air filtering for fumes (like if you find yourself behind a diesel bus) and the mist sensor automatically keeps your windscreen clear without you having to put on the defroster.

Strange for a luxury vehicle to not have this as standard, but the Power Passenger Seat w/Memory (242) can come in handy, especially if you regularly share driving responsibility with someone else and you often swap seats (i.e., travel with GF or spouse). In MY12, it was hidden in the Pre-wiring for Rear Entertainment. But for M13, they broke it out as its own option.
