2012 ml350 bluetec

2012 ml wind noise

Anyone experience wind noise coming from the rear compartment of the vehicle. Almost sounds like an open door or window above 45 mph.

I'm wondering if you have the panoramic roof...and that allowing more road noise to come through.

One of a several reasons I'm not ordering the pano roof on my MY13 ML is because I'm thinking all that glass and that super-light, sheer cover screen will allow more road noise to come through.

But that's just a guess, I've never done a side-by-side comparison. I wonder what others can report?

Although not a direct comparison, my R has the pano roof and it's really quiet inside the cabin. And we did the roadtrip with the shade open too. Don't think road noise is really a factor when considering the roof.

Have you tried to make sure you fully close the doors & have the window fully rolled up?

Do you mean an actual noise or pulsating air pressure felt in the ears? I noticed that you said 45 MPH and that's about where the pulsating happens.

Katiesdad,

I can't find the original thread on this pulsating prroblem, but it is obviously some harmonic set upwithin the cabin.
Two possible areas to look at are the air intake or the cabin vent.
If you removed thepollen filter, a test drive would soon tell you if thays it.
As for the vent... I'm sure its got one somewhere?
