Best color for the new M class

I know this is a matter of personal preference, just curious to know what color do you think suits the M class best.
Thanks.

You're right, it is indeed about personal preference. I'm more practical about it. I chose Desert Sand (i.e., now Pearl Beige) for my 2007 ML350 since I live at the beach with no garage. It's didn't show dirt as nearly as much as Black or other dark colors. So I didn't have to wash it so much.

But now the MY13 I'm ordering will be Paladium Silver Metalic, since that also holds dirt well, but I think is better looking than beige.

Diamond White! Without question. Black looks the most elegant but it is impossible to keep clean. The constant working on the paint with washes, waxes, quick detailers and other kinds of polishes necessary to keep it looking good will eventually mar and swirl the paint. This is true of even your best detailers who use all the proper equipment. At some point they will have to do a correction of the paint. Anyway, a black car and interior here under the Texas sun is a no, no.

I love Silver. My pick-up truck is silver and I think I will post a picture of both my truck and ML350 to show the difference yet the basic similarity of lighter colors. My second choice would have been Silver. I have not seen the Dakota Brown in person but I would love to. It is unusual and probably a stand out when properly polished. Ditto Capri Blue. I saw one go by me one time and it made my head turn but I have not seen one up close.

Arctic white is simply "too" white. It was my color of choice until I saw Diamond White in person, both under showroom lights and in the sun. When I saw it and compared it to Arctic white side by side I fell in love. The car I selected would have to have certain options with that paint color being a must. The depth of this rock hard paint is incredible. They say it has five layers of quality German paint and you can almost see all the layers, such is the depth of this paint. It is very expensive but worth it. Road dust and light dirt is virtually invisible which means less damage to the paint by my constantly having to wash and detail it. I'll see if I can post a picture or two.

I vote for Palladium Silver! Hides dirt and reflect some heat. I can't rationalize why white (dirt) and black (hot + dirt) are so popular.

I'll vote for Dakota brown. It has a nice brown/ gold metalic to it.

I have a Dakota brown, looks elegant and the chrome trim stands out nicely. Not my favorite though.
I love Iridium silver, call me boring but it looks so good in any Mercedes SUV.
Palladium comes second.

Diamond/Artic white is a no brainer only with the AMG exterior package IMO.
The contrast with the black plastic trim is just too much.

I agree, if not for the dirt aspect, as well as eventually showing swirl scratches, Black is very beautiful on the ML.

Perhaps we should categorize this discussion by:
1) The best color newly off the lot and washed.
2) The best for not showing dirt or wear.

I think the best online site for viewing different colors in on the Cypress Mercedes Benz website, under the "360° driving experience" tab:

http://www.mercedes-benz.com.cy/cont...nce.flash.html

Why Cypress? Because it has the new MY13 Cinnabar Red as one of the choices.

Also, it allows you to spin the ML around and see the color in different light. And then you can have it drive off and tool around town, using your selected color.

I haven't been able to locate pages like this on the MBUSA website. The Canadian MB website has the "360° driving experience" tab but not the new Cinnabar color.

We are going for Palladium Silver also. Would really like a blue but M-B, at least for the ML's, seem to favor darker blues.

Remember its just a guide the real cinnabar like the REAL citrine/dakota is completely so much nicer.

Come on people, white and black are not colors, their achromatics. Neverless, I ordered white and will likely paint out the rockers. I also leaned toward Palladium, but my wife preferred white, and it will look nice with my white M3. I'd never own a black car again as a DD unless I could afford weekly detailing.

STEEL GRAY

I feel like I get the best of both worlds. Doesn't show light scratch marks like black and has a great metallic flake in the sun.

I went back and forth on the Steel Grey. It looks great in the bright sun, but like with the Brown, I didn't like it as much as the Palladium Silver in the evening light.

(Yes, I admit that I've wasted a lot of time visiting my local MB dealer at different times of the day.)

Black as advised is great for 5 minutes after the wash. Blue is too dark. Dealer can't show me a brown or red. We already have a white. Our current ML is Iridium. Palladium looks great with grey/black interior. Sorry Dougiebear it had to be.

You're right of course. As the French have said, "Vive la difference!"

Fortunately I still do have an excellent ride until the delivery in October.

Thanks.
I ordered a Palladium Silver ML with the grey interior. Then I logged on here. After a while, tracking Greg of course, I changed my order to Arctic White with the Auburn Brown interior and Burled Walnut. Shortly thereafter, with all of the Satin Ash posts popping up, I attempted to change the order again to include that option. No go, the order was locked.

Today I'm very happy with [my] choices. The car is beautiful, drives like a dream and can tow really tow (it's a bluetec).

One funny thing... I was at the top of a hill that brought two perpendicular roads together. Lots of traffic. I stepped a little harder on the accelerator than planned and the car, to my surprise, burned rubber. Torque? I guess I'm learning the meaning of that term.
