Tell them you want a new one!! 2 weeks is way too long for a new car!

I had a few "check engine" probs with my E63 seemed like once every 5-6000 miles, one was the O2 sensor I think??

Quick fix for them, just a few hours

I'm a new MB owner and it is my experience that they can't fix anything without some type of trouble code. No code, no repair. Not that there isn't anything wrong. Its just they don't even try to fix something without the computer telling them there is a problem.

When my ML was new it had bad hesitation when cold. (still does but that's another story) It was very noticeable and easy to reproduce. They swore that there was no problem and it was operating properly. Why? because the computer didn't tell them it was broken. It was like telling them the tires were flat, showing them with their own eyes and them telling me that since the computer say's they are fine then they are fine.

I had the same problem with hesitation on my E63 when cold. I think it may be something built into the software to prevent you from pushing the car too hard till it's ready. I never bothered taking it in to have that checked out because that was the only time I noticed it.

I don't seem to notice the hesitation on my ML though, but it also doesn't have a digital temp readout for the engine and oil. I'm not sure what "warmed up" is on my ML. The E63's temps would blink till the car was warmed up

Codes are created when some event or serires of events occur which the programme engineers had concieved could possibly occur.

If something happens that they did not consider could happen and therefore they did not ask to be told about then of course there will be no codes.

Did anyone ever watch "Yes Prime Minister"?

I think dealer service departments vary quite a bit in quality. Mine actually has mechanics that can think most of the time.
