How to light the leds along with the headlights ?
I'm in Europa et don't have the light package.
The leds are on during the day, but when the standards lights are on, the leds go out. Does anybody know how to lit them together ?

It doesn't work for me. On auto the leds are on during the day, but when the light are on, the leds turn off. Is it normal ? What can I do to have both lit on ?

Our LED lights stay on with the headlights when set to the auto position. We have the lighting package. Not sure if that makes a difference. It does look neat at night with everything on. I think I remember reading somewhere that the LED's do not stay on without the lighting package. Not sure.

I'm not sure how the lights work in europa, but check in the owners manual under "Menu's and Sub-Menu's - Lights. In the USA if you have the daytime running lights activated and the light switch in Auto or A, when it gets dark the running lights stay on. If you merely bypass the auto function and turn the lights on the running lights may turn off. See the exterior lighting area in the owners manual.

The manual say that they are daylight and that the turn off when the lights are on (in the dark).
But in many vehicles like Audi the both are lit toghether. So I believe that it should be a solution to lit them together.

I also want the LEDs to be on at night with the headlights. I have halogen headlights and live in Europe. I saw an ml with xenon headlights had the LEDs on at night. This is a software adjustment so they can turn them on with request possibly. I will ask the dealer about this. The LEDs are on during the day but off when the headlights turn on automatically at dark.

Unfortunately no they are not on. The daytime light option is on but LEDs turn off completely in Auto mode at night time. If they are dimmer at night time, this is not only a software choice probably. With the lighting package there is a part dimming the LEDs I think.

ML 350 Bluetech 2013 Loving it!
I am getting a bit confused !
It appears that the option of LED on with lights is different in different countries and the package may be different if you have the intelligent light system.
It would help if members had on their sign in name where they come from as it would help a things are different in different countries.
I have ordered a Intelligent light for a UK model ML350 Bluetechsport.
Will that have LED ion or off with main lights ?
Can some one clarify please?

I live in Cyprus. I have halogen lights. The LEDs are on in daytime as I chose that option, but off during night time and there is no option to turn them on. And as I noticed, we do not have daytime front fog lamps either. I saw other MLshere with Xenon package and they have LEDs on during night, with the funny brow led light.

Steel Grey 2012 ML350 is wife's
I have the BiXenon lighting Pkg and my lower LED fog-light strips, my upper "eyebrow" strips and my headlights all stay on when I keep the master light switch in the straight-up (12 O'Clock) position.
The downside is that the high beams can then ONLY be activated temporarily by pulling the "flash to pass" lever (rather than pushing that lever for them to stay on indefinitely).

For those with the lighting package, just discovered this (read the manual!). With lights on Auto, high beams were not coming on automatically in even the darkest conditons, and you cannot turn them on except by pulling the lever towards you and holding. Duh, you're supposed to push the lever away from you to activiate that function, per the MY12 manual p. 112. Haven't tried it yet, but anxious to.

The led are lights during the day, but not during the night.
Do somebody knows if it is possible to light the leds during the night through the engineering menu findings ?

This has been working for me. Just keep the lever pushed away and a headlight indicator with an "A" in it will come on when the headlights come onast night. When the high beams turn on automatically, the normal high beam indicator will also come on in the right hand display. Basically, leave the lights in auto and the high beam lever pushed away and ILS will take care of everything. I find its more aggressive with high beams than I would be.

I just went outside (it is dark outside and my headlights come on automatically) and I was able to turn my LEDs on and off with the button to the left of the light switch which looks like it is for fog lamps. Email me at: mra01@hotmail.com if you need me to take a picture.

Checked mine this morning. 2013 Blutec with lighting package. LEDs stay on with headlights but actually turn off when the rear fog is turned on.

I second what challer said. This is where different country's laws come into play; we don't have rear fog lights mandated here in the US. I did play with the light switch Next to the headlight switch and it did turn on the rear dog light as well as turn my LEDs off. Guess the switch does both and when the fog lights are on, the LEDs are off.

In the US, if you don't have the lightning package, leaving the setting in auto mode will bring your headlight and LED (albeit at a lower illumination) in dark. The trick is to get only the LED turned on during the day or otherwise (for effect!).
This is especially hard to find for the 2013s. I've seen 2012s with LEDs on only during the day, without the lighting package.
Any ideas?

Both LED lights
I want to make both Led lights from the Headlights and from the bumper to work during the day as daylights , but I don't know how to do it and I have seen some pictures on the internet with some cars that they made it work .
Does somebody know if it's possible because I have ILS
