Good price to offer for ml350?
Hi all,
Is this price too aggressive to offer for a 2014 ml350 4m gas? ( I saw someone on edmunds get almost 15 percent off)
P1, Msrp 55135. If there is winter cash available, I'd shoot for 48,500, and then use my fleet discount of 2k for a final of 46.5?
Thanks

as a matter of fact, you can stack the discounts --fleet discount of 2k on top of your regular negotiation discount (done it myself!)
make sure you discuss the discount by mentioning the fleet discount in your final prices b/c you don't want the dealer to twist its word at the end by saying oh yeah the discount we give you already included the fleet discount (then you will be heading pissing off for thinking you get a good deal at the negotiated price plus your fleet discount.)
in general 6 to 12% off msrp is reasonable and depends on your geographical locations. i say if you can get 10% off msrp + 2k for fleet, you will end up much better than most buyers (that gives you a closer to 13 or 14% off).
good luck.

I placed a special order for my new ML350BTC, and was able to get 10% off MSRP. I'm sure I could have done better if I could have settled for a car on the lot, but I thought I did OK on a special order diesel in Southern California.

Hi all
2014 ml350/4 p1 and paint, Msrp 56k Neg 51.5
Came back with 800, 5k down, for 15k, 30 month lease. I'd rather not comment on how bad that deal is.
Came back with negotiated price of 50k, 625 a month, 5k down. I wanted to get acquisition to 795 and mf rate of .00132 after that bogus first quote. Also I confirmed residual of 60 percent.
However, my numbers are still not adding up. I'm calculating a fair bit lower. Is the MF still not where I want it to be?
Also, I know I qualify for 2k fleet but do not want to mention this until the last moment (dont want to mix their offer and my qualified program together) I can stack the fleet discount on top to get it to 48k, correct? My understanding is that MB will cut them a check so they wont be affecting their profits?
I also want to target the selling price to 49.5, which would give me a selling of 47.5
I don't have my calculator in front of me, but I should be in ballpark of 585 with 2600 due at signing with taxes rolled into the monthly (assuming selling of 48k with fleet)
Want to stay with this dealer. Aside from the HIGH initial offer, I like them.
Is this offer too aggressive? Thanks!
